About this Event

Vikrant University successfully conducted SANRACHNA-3, a Student Development Program on 28 June, 2021 through online platform. The program was consistent with the department’s on-going commitment to expose students to meaningful industrial practices and professional experiences beyond the classroom setting.
The event united up-and-coming engineers with experienced professionals from the pharmaceutical and manufacturing industries. The interaction was a good platform for the students to learn the practical aspects of safety management, production operations and professional development. These types of initiatives are important to make students industry ready and lay a strong foundation for their future careers.

Objectives:

  • To provide students with hands-on exposure to industrial safety and production management practices.
  • To raise awareness in connection with occupational health, safety and environmental matters.
  • To familiarize students with the manufacturing processes and operational problems of industrial organizations.
  • To encourage the development of technical, leadership and professional ethics.
  • To advise on career opportunities in safety engineering and production management.
  • To strengthen the connection between academic learning and industrial needs.

Event Overview:

The program was attended by two experienced industry professionals Mr. Shubham Singh Chauhan, HSE Engineer, Symbiotic Pharmalab Pvt. Ltd. Mr. Aman Bhai Patel, Production Incharge, SSG Pvt. Orai. Ltd. The session was hosted by Mr. Shubham Singh Chauhan, who shared his professional experiences in the field of Health Safety and Environment (HSE) management in the pharmaceutical industry. He underlined the vital importance of a safe working environment and described the various safety precautions taken in industries to avoid accidents and occupational hazards. He stressed the importance of a strong safety culture, not only to satisfy regulations but to protect the safety of employees and the efficient operation of an organization.

Mr. Chauhan spoke about the importance of risk assessment, hazard identification, emergency preparedness and continuous safety training. He urged students to develop a safety mindset and to continue to strive for professional excellence throughout their careers.

Mr. Aman Bhai Patel shared his invaluable thoughts on production management and manufacturing operations. He shared his practical experience about the role of a Production Incharge in ensuring smooth workflow, maintaining quality of product, utilizing resources optimally and achieving production targets.

He talked about the importance of planning, coordination, team work and sound decisions in order to be operationally efficient. The speaker also pointed out some of the challenges facing modern manufacturing industries and emphasized the need for engineers to remain flexible in adapting to technological developments and changes in industrial requirements. His practical examples gave students a realistic view of production systems and industrial operations.

Both speakers emphasized the importance of continuous learning, technical competence, discipline and good communication skills for a successful professional career. Students learned important lessons about workplace expectations and career development from their observations and experiences. The session was concluded with an interactive discussion where students actively participated by raising questions related to safety practices, industrial operations and career opportunities. The sharing of ideas greatly enriched the overall learning experience and made the program very informative and engaging.

Conclusion:

SANRACHNA-3 was a very informative and enriching Student Development Program. The students were exposed to the practical knowledge and professional experiences shared by Mr. Shubham Singh Chauhan and Mr. Aman Bhai Patel which gave them a valuable insight into the management of industrial safety, production operations and professional responsibilities. The program was successful in achieving its objective of fostering meaningful industry-academia interaction and improving students’ understanding of the current industrial practices. These initiatives demonstrate the commitment of Vikrant University to develop skilled, responsible, and industry-ready professionals who can make a significant contribution to the growth and development of the engineering and manufacturing industries.
