About this Event

School of Engineering & Technology, Vikrant University, Gwalior has successfully organized SANRACHNA-2, a Student Development Program on 19 June, 2021 through online platform. The program was conducted to enhance the students’ knowledge on industrial safety practices, project management and professional responsibilities in large scale industrial operations.
The event provided a great opportunity for students to interact with experienced professionals from reputed organizations and gain valuable insights into practical aspects of workplace safety, project execution and industrial management. The session aimed at raising professional awareness among students and preparing them to meet the dynamic requirements of the modern industries.

Objectives:

  • To raise awareness of career opportunities in the fields of safety engineering, project management and industrial operations.
  • To develop professional ethics, leadership and continuous learning spirit among the students.
  • To bridge the gap between academic knowledge and industry expectations

Event Overview:

The program was attended by two renowned professionals of the industry Mr. Ritesh Chaudhary, Junior Safety Executive, Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Pvt. Ltd. and Mr. Ashish Rajak, Project Head (Turbine), Lloyd Insulations India Limited, associated with ONGC Project in Tripura.

Mr. Ritesh Chaudhary shared his practical experiences on the subject of industrial safety management in a large manufacturing setup. He emphasised on the need to inculcate a proactive safety culture, follow safety protocols and ensure compliance to statutory regulations. He said safety professionals are key to accident prevention, looking out for employee well-being and operational excellence. Mr. Chaudhary also emphasized the role of hazard identification, risk assessment, safety audits and employee training programs in developing a safe and productive workplace. His presentation gave students a comprehensive understanding of the challenges and responsibilities of the profession of safety engineering.

Mr. Ashish Rajak gave an insightful presentation on project management and turbine related operations in major industrial projects. He emphasized that effective planning, coordination, quality control and teamwork are key to successful project execution, drawing from his experience in large-scale infrastructure and energy-sector projects. He also covered the technical and managerial skills that are required from professionals working in project-based industries.

All the speakers stressed the importance of technical skill, professional discipline, communication and adaptability to ensure long-term success in their careers. They appealed to the students to keep their knowledge updated and excel in the professions they have chosen. Students participated actively in the interactive question and answer session. The discussions helped participants clarify various technical, professional and career aspects and made the program very engaging and useful.

Conclusion:

SANRACHNA-2 turned out to be a very informative and professionally enriching program for the students of Mechanical Engineering and Fire Technology & Safety Engineering. The practical knowledge and valuable experiences shared by Mr. Ritesh Chaudhary and Mr. Ashish Rajak gave a better understanding to the participants about the industrial safety practices, project management principles and professional development. The program has successfully met its goal of improving industry-academia interaction and raising students’ awareness of the contemporary industrial needs. These initiatives are in keeping with Vikrant University’s commitment to prepare competent, responsible, industry-ready professionals who will be able to make a meaningful contribution to the growth and development of the engineering sector.
